Volunteering
Volunteer with Silver Creek
At Silver Creek, volunteerism is at the heart of what we do. For 50 years, volunteers have been the foundation of our success, helping us grow into the thriving organization we are today. From our classrooms and office to our naturalized playground and Board of Directors, volunteers are integral to every part of our community.
We are always eager to welcome new volunteers! Our Volunteer Coordinator will guide you through the application process, conduct interviews, and provide a hands-on introduction to the meaningful work at Silver Creek. Your contributions are essential—we couldn’t do this without you!

At Silver Creek, volunteers are the foundation of our success. They bring expertise, passion, and a commitment to service that drives our mission forward. Whether working directly with students, supporting operations behind the scenes, or guiding our organization as members of the Board of Directors, their impact is immeasurable. This year, we were thrilled to welcome three new volunteers whose energy and fresh perspectives have strengthened our efforts. Together with our long-standing volunteers, they form a community of support that empowers Silver Creek to deliver meaningful programs to those who need them most.

Classroom and Office Volunteers
-
Every week, 12 classroom volunteers and 2 office volunteers dedicate 44 hours of their time to Silver Creek. Their efforts represent the equivalent of $880 in weekly wages, saving critical funds that are reinvested into programs and services for our students.
Board of Directors
Our 7 volunteer board members are the backbone of our strategic operations, providing expertise in Human Resources, accounting, fundraising, and more. Each board member dedicates a minimum of 10 hours per month, collectively saving Silver Creek at least $90,000 annually in consulting and operational costs.
